Faith Bible College — 4th Year

Church Bible Program
Theology

A five-book capstone year grounded in the deep theology of Scripture — tracing God’s covenants, exploring the foundational books of Acts, Romans and Isaiah, and culminating in learning to preach the Word with authority and skill.

4th Year Certification

About This Programme

The 4th Year Church Bible Program in Theology takes students deep into the architecture of Scripture itself. Beginning with the grand narrative thread of God’s covenants throughout redemptive history, the programme moves through three pivotal books of the Bible — Acts, Romans and Isaiah — before culminating in homiletics: the ability to stand before a congregation and preach the Word with precision, passion and power.

This track is designed for students who want to be not just ministry practitioners but Bible scholars — men and women who can open the Word, understand it in context, trace its themes across the canon, and communicate its eternal truths with clarity and conviction.

What You Will Cover

1

Biblical Covenants

Essay Assessments  |  Personal Reflection & Application

Traces the covenantal thread that runs through the entire Bible — the Adamic, Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic and New Covenants, how each covenant reveals more of God’s redemptive plan, the relationship between law and grace across the covenants, the fulfilment of all covenants in Christ, how understanding biblical covenants transforms the way we read Scripture, and the pastoral implications of covenant theology for the life and ministry of the local church.

2

The Book of Acts

Essay Assessments  |  🔒 Unlocks after Book 1

An in-depth study of the Acts of the Apostles — the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the birth and rapid expansion of the early church, Peter and Paul as model apostolic leaders, the theology of mission and evangelism in Acts, how the gospel broke across ethnic and cultural barriers, the role of miracles and signs in church growth, and what the patterns of the early church mean for the life, mission and leadership of the local church today.

3

The Book of Romans

Essay Assessments  |  Practical Submissions  |  🔒 Unlocks after Book 2

A systematic study of Paul’s letter to the Romans — the universal need for salvation, justification by faith alone, the doctrine of grace and righteousness, the role of the law, sanctification and the life of the Spirit, God’s sovereignty and human responsibility, Israel and the Gentiles in God’s plan, and the practical implications of Romans 12–16 for the ethics, relationships and community life of every local church and every individual believer.

4

The Book of Isaiah

Essay Assessments  |  Practical Submissions  |  🔒 Unlocks after Book 3

An expository journey through Isaiah — the holiness and sovereignty of God, Isaiah’s vision and calling, the historical context of Assyrian and Babylonian threat, the prophetic condemnation of sin and call to repentance, the Servant Songs and their stunning Messianic fulfilment in Christ, the New Exodus and eschatological hope, Isaiah’s vision of the restored creation, and how the grandest prophetic book in the Old Testament shapes a high theology of God, redemption and mission for ministry today.

5

Homiletics — The Art of Preaching

Essay Assessments  |  Practical Submissions  |  🔒 Unlocks after Book 4

Covers the theology and craft of preaching — the preacher’s calling, character and spiritual preparation, constructing expository, topical and narrative sermons, developing a clear central idea and compelling structure, illustrating and applying Scripture faithfully to contemporary life, voice, presence and delivery technique, preaching the great theological themes of Scripture with clarity and anointing, and building a lifelong preaching ministry that is rooted in the deep theology developed across the four preceding books of this track.
